§1.GENERAL PROVISIONS

This Privacy Policy applies to individuals using the Website located at the URL: www.hotel-terramar.com and comes into effect on March 1, 2025. In relation to the implementation of the requirements of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and Council, of April 27, 2016, regarding the protection of natural persons concerning the processing of personal data and the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation - hereinafter “GDPR”), we inform you that:

1. We process data for the following purposes:
   1. performance of a contract or taking steps at the request of the data subject before entering into a contract (legal basis: Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR),
   2. processing requests (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR),
   3. handling complaints and claims (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR),
   4. maintaining records and complying with legal obligations incumbent on the Administrator (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR),
   5. sending the newsletter (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR),
   6. monitoring and improving the quality of the service provided: asking you to fill out a survey or answer some questions about the quality of the service provided (Article 6, 6(1)(f) GDPR),
   7. displaying personalized commercial information on social networks (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR)
2. The provision of data is voluntary, although necessary to use the services. If consent is given, it is voluntary and expressed by clicking the checkbox containing the terms of the given consent.

If a person has given their consent for the processing of the data (legal basis: Article 6, paragraph 1, letter a), of the Data Protection Regulation), the data will be processed until the consent is withdrawn, but after this period, information on who, when, and with what consent may be archived (for the purpose of establishing, investigating or defending legal claims). In other cases, data is processed for the period justified by the purpose (e.g., performance of a contract, answering queries, tax regulations, etc.). The processing period depends on the possibility of establishing, enforcing, or defending legal claims or when data retention is necessary due to tax regulations.

8. Visitors to the Website may give their consent for us to carry out specific advertising campaigns on social media based on their email address.

§3. RECIPIENTS OF THE DATA

We use the services of software and IT system maintenance companies with which we have entered into the corresponding agreements. These contracts include data processing and confidentiality standards. Data is not shared, and none of these companies has the right to process it in a manner different from that specified in the contract. Your data, to the extent that the company has access to it, may only be processed for the proper provision of services.
